Treatex Hardwax Oil Light Oak

A Treatex Colour Tones stain is a great way to finish your new doors before they're hung. This quick-drying treatment has a fantastic reputation and will completely revamp their appearance too. New doors are a great way to update your home, finishing them in this Treatex oil will ensure that they remain tinted for many years to come. Remember to apply a hardwax oil to protect them!

Suitable for all types of internal joinery such as flooring, worktops, stairs, doors, and furniture (We have this on our own worktop and cannot recommend it enough)

The colour tone range is not a protectant. Treatex Hardwax Oil Clear Matt must be applied on top to protect the door

TREATEX IS NOT SUITABLE FOR EXTERNAL USE

Application

Apply with a brush or lint-free rag

Ready to use - you don't need to thin it, simply stir it well.

Apply the first coat thinly, thoroughly, and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 8-10 hours, ensuring good ventilation. After applying the first coat, if you do not achieve the desired finish you're after, we recommend applying a second coat, ensuring the first coat is completely dry.

Next, apply two coats of Treatex Clear Matt using the same method as you used before. Again, allow 8-10 hours for drying and ventilate between each layer.

When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine to enhance the sheen.

Usage

1 litre is enough to cover 3 doors with 2 layers. Have a look at our coverage calculator below to see how much you need!
