Full instructions are provided to make fitting the aluminium track as stress-free as possible. The height of 1981mm is inclusive of the track as well, which is a benefit if this single bifold door is replacing an existing standard door. Bi-fold door widths are slightly smaller than the standard 27” to 30” widths. For example, if the bi-fold doors measured 762mm exactly, once opened, the outer edge will snag onto the existing door frame. The two leaves are pre-hinged with heavy-duty hinges and are also available in two sizes, with a 2mm trimming allowance.
Available in two widths, this modern-day concertina door is made with stunning real American oak veneer, which is unfinished, allowing you to choose the type of finish you’d like to match with the existing design. As this door is unfinished, we would strongly recommend applying a finish before installation, and then requiring refinishing at recommended intervals of 6 months in order to keep it protected from daily exposure. For what treatment to use on this internal door, we would recommend an oil from either our Treatex Hardwax or Osmo Hardwax range, which are our recommended tried and tested choice of treatments for any oak internal door.
